The Essence of Transformation and Regal Elegance
Elevate your sake ritual with the Butterfly and Peony (Chou ni Botan) glass. In the world of hanafuda, the peony is known as the "King of Flowers," symbolizing high honors and nobility, while the butterfly represents grace and transformation.
Dancing Through the King of Flowers This piece captures a moment of pure elegance as a butterfly flutters around a lush, blooming peony. Using layers of meticulous engraving, each petal is carved to create a realistic sense of volume and blossoming depth. Set against a whirlwind of falling cherry blossoms, the design evokes a sense of movement and "Miyabi" (traditional Japanese aesthetic refinement).
The Hand-Polished Finish Every cup is finished with a meticulous hand-polishing process, ensuring a smooth, premium feel that fits perfectly in your hand. Whether displayed as a piece of art or used for a celebratory toast, this glass brings a touch of Tokyo’s craftsmanship to your home.
The Art of Edo Cased Glass These cups are made using the Kise-garasu (Cased Glass) method—a rare technique where a layer of colored glass is fused over clear glass. Unlike painted glassware, the designs are permanently carved into the glass itself and will never peel.
