A Vision of Longevity and Serene Grace

Immerse yourself in the poetic beauty of Japan’s seasons with this edo-kiriko masterpiece. This glass features the Deer and Autumn Leaves (Momiji ni Shika), a motif that has long symbolized longevity and the quiet dignity of the forest.

The Art of the Changing Season Standing amidst deep red maple leaves, the deer represents a moment of stillness in the heart of autumn. To capture this, the artisan uses a unique "shading" technique, leaving a whisper of red glass to create a breathtaking gradation. This mirrors the natural transition of leaves as they turn from green to fiery red. The result is a lifelike depth that makes the scenery feel as though it is breathing within the glass.

Exquisite Craftsmanship Crafted using the Kise-garasu (Cased Glass) method, a vibrant layer of red glass is fused over clear frost. Because the design is permanently carved into the material, the rich autumnal colors will never fade, allowing you to cherish this piece for a lifetime.

The Art of Edo Cased Glass These cups are made using the Kise-garasu (Cased Glass) method—a rare technique where a layer of colored glass is fused over clear glass. Unlike painted glassware, the designs are permanently carved into the glass itself and will never peel.
